Paddle Boarding, my new adventure. Trip 1 – Malta Inn – Maidstone

I needed a new hobby to keep me occupied this summer. Being that I’m not involved in politics has given me a lot of spare time, which I love. Only having two days of a week, I knew I needed to take a step back.

I brought my first paddle board, it arrived, I left it in it’s box for week. It was a hot summers day, I wanted to go out on the water. I put it altogether in the house, I didn’t know what I was doing as for some reason the instructions were all stuck together, so I was winging it.

The mighty paddleboard

I ventured down to the Malta Inn with my paddleboard in it’s bag. To be honest I didn’t where I was going to set up or where I was going to leave my bag and pump. As I was walking, someone shouted at me. It was another paddle boarder, thinking the same as me. I asked if I could join him, he said yes. We went to his car, to set up and then of we went. He was teaching me a few things, off we went to Maidstone.

We came across the boat café which I would recommend, had a coffee, then paddled back to the Malta. In the process of getting back on my board, I fell in, it was rather amusing and very refreshing. A couple of passers by were very sympathetic, asked if I needed any help.
